What is Read Only Mode for Salesforce Line Items and Why is it Useful?
In certain situations, you may wish to make Vision Product Selector read-only. For example, if you have a closed won opportunity and don’t wish for line items to be edited or modified.
Using ‘Flexpricer Read Only’ mode removes the ability for any user to edit, add or remove line items using Vision Product Selector.
How to Setup Flexpricer Read Only Mode for Salesforce Line Items
Flexpricer Read Only is controlled by a checkbox on Opportunity and Quote. When the checkbox is checked, Vision Product Selector is read only. When the checkbox is unchecked, the interface is fully functional.
How to Use Flexpricer Read Only Mode for Salesforce Line Items
We recommend using workflows, Process Builder or Flows to set the Flexpricer Read Only checkbox to TRUE when you do not wish your sales users to continue editing / manipulating line items on opportunities or quotes – but still want them to see the relevant information stored.
