Flexpricer is licensed per user, which means that each user wishing to use any component in the Flexpricer package, including Vision Product Selector, needs to be allocated a license.
Flexpricer uses Permission Sets to grant access to fields and objects to Flexpricer users, managers and administrators. There are 3 Flexpricer Permission Sets with further details about them below the video.
- Flexpricer (User)
- Flexpricer (Manager)
- Flexpricer (Admin)
Use the video below as a guide on how to set users up with licenses and permission sets. Please note that the version of Flexpricer used in this video is an early release in Salesforce Classic. The current version shows additional features and styling.
Flexpricer (User) Permission Set
- This permission set should be used for all Flexpricer users that need access to read Flexpricer data that has already been set up.
- Users with this permission set are able to read contracted pricing, volume pricing, segmented pricing and other app fields and data that are outside of Opportunity Product and Quote Line Items.
- This permission set does not enable a user to create app data outside of Opportunity Product and Quote Line Items.
- A user with the Flexpricer (User) permission set can apply a Percentage Discount Product if that product is specified as the User Discount product on the Settings page
Flexpricer (Manager) Permission Set
- This permission set should be used for all Flexpricer users that need access to read, create, edit and delete data in Flexpricer objects and fields, where they are appropriately licensed.
- Users with this permission set are able to read, create, edit and delete contracted pricing, volume pricing, segmented pricing and other app fields and data that are outside of Opportunity Product and Quote Line Items.
- Users with this permission set cannot access the Flexpricer Settings page to enable/disable features.
- A user with the Flexpricer (Manager) permission set can apply a Percentage Discount Product if that product is specified as the Manager Discount product on the Settings page
Flexpricer (Admin) Permission Set
- This permission set should be used for all Flexpricer Administrators that need to maintain the app.
- Users with this permission set are able to read, create, edit and delete contracted pricing, volume pricing, segmented pricing and other app fields and data that are outside of Opportunity Product and Quote Line Items.
- Users with this permission set is able to access the Flexpricer Settings page to enable/disable features.
- A user with the Flexpricer (Admin) permission set can apply a Percentage Discount Product if that product is specified as either the User Discount or the Manager Discount product on the Settings page
Important Information for Administrators
- Flexpricer incorporates licensing controls on its data model. A Salesforce user allocated a permission set that includes permissions to Flexpricer objects and fields may be limited in their interaction with them until they are licensed to use the relevant Flexpricer feature.
