Sales Price & Discount Permission Controls

As a native app that abides by Salesforce’s security rules, you can control access to Vision Product Selector’s sales price and discounting functionality using our Custom Permissions.

You can pick and choose whether to allow users the ability to edit the Sales Price of a line item and/or Discount field either at the org level (on the Settings page) or at an individual level using a Permission Set or Profile.

In-App Validation Rule Alert Banners

Vision Product Selector performs a single write operation when the Save button is pressed. If users enter information on their line items that cause validation rules to fire and prevent the write operation taking place, these are presented in-app so that they may make changes and attempt the Save operation again.

Validation errors are clearly presented at the top of the interface with the specific error message as provided in the rule.

Translation Workbench Support

As a 100% native app, Vision Product Selector is supported by Salesforce’s Translation Workbench.

The app displays standard fields from salesforce which can be translated in the user’s local language based on the language setting on their user record.

Salesforce provides Quote Templates on the Quote object that can have lightweight customisation by the Salesforce Administrator.

Vision Product Selector can launch a simple Visualforce PDF template from an in-app button and use this to create a Quote record and email a PDF of the quote document.

With PDF quotes typically being sent by email, you now have an alternative way of display a beautiful table of line items in-line in an email template.

Approval & Floor Fields & Display

Additional custom fields are provided in-app to help administrators create validation rules and flows with data from PricebookEntries.

When a given PricebookEntry is used, the values in Approval Price, Approval Discount, Floor Price and Floor Discount are copied from the PricebookEntry to the line item, where validation rules and automations can be used to apply additional sales process controls.
