How to perform Product Bundles With Salesforce
Quick and Simple to way to group products together, and then set bundle pricing options
Product Bundles and Bundle Pricing allows you to easily group products that are frequently sold together in Salesforce, and then set the price for the bundle. Different quantities of each product can be included in the bundle. You can then add the bundle to an Salesforce Opportunity rather than adding each individual product, one-by-one.
What is are Product Bundles / Product Kits / Product Packages in Salesforce?
Product Bundles, Kits and Packages helps you bundle together different products and sell them on the same opportunity or quote! In the app that Matthew walks though above, he shows you three different ways that products can be bundled in Salesforce.
- Fixed bundles – these allow to you pre-determine a mix of products that are to be sold together. Your sales team can then sell the bundle and all of the pre-configured products are also included. If you think of this in the retail world, this is like a packaged gift-set – you receive all the products that are in the gift set.
- Guided bundles – these automatically add products to your opportunity or quote based on products that have already been selected. Your sales team can pick and choose which to sell and which to remove. If you think of this in the software world, this this is like selling support services with a software license. You’d always want your sales team to be bundling together support, but they have the flexibility to remove it or change the price of it if they need to.
- Configure products with options – a simple product configurator is a blend between the rigidness of the fixed bundle and the flexibility of the guided bundle.
The configurator offers groups of options (which themselves are products) that can be added or removed through an easy-to-use interface. If you think of this like when you’re buying a new car – you can choose differently priced options (such a paint colour, alloy wheels, upgraded trim etc) that are all related to the car ‘product’.
